INTRO
Once, in the vast Indonesian archipelago, there were two dominant factions: Indochina, led by Conman, and MrGabie’s Dutch East Indies (DEI). These two nations had been bitter rivals for countless days, months or even years. constantly battling for territory, resources, and power. However, this area’s geopolitical landscape was about to shift dramatically.
In January, a major event altered the balance of power. Cape Cod, the largest and most developed city under DEI’s rule, declared independence and established the nation of Sulawesi. This bold move significantly weakened DEI, as Cape Cod had been a crucial hub for farming, mining, and trading. Sulawesi, under the leadership of TroyBru73146, positioned itself as a third major faction in the archipelago, determined to forge its own destiny in the server.
Meanwhile, Indochina also faced internal instability. Albany, the largest town in the nation, expressed its desire to secede. The city’s mayor, LogolWaffle, along with his council, wanted independence due to restrictive trade policies and unfair treatment by Indochina’s leadership. Conman, however, was not about to lose a key settlement without a fight. He issued a warning to Albany’s leadership, stating that any attempt to leave Indochina would be met with PVP combat and TNT sieges, or anything else.
For a while, the three factions coexisted in a fragile peace, but on the 23rd of March, everything changed. Ignoring Conman’s warnings, LogolWaffle officially declared Albany’s independence, forming the new nation of Borneo. Almost immediately, Borneo declared war on Indochina, accusing it of harassing players, raiding residents, and limiting player freedoms.
EMC erupted in tension. Sulawesi, which had previously been neutral, shocked everyone when TroyBru73146 declared war on Indochina as well. This unexpected betrayal threw the entire situation into chaos.
In retaliation, Indochina officially declared war on Borneo, claiming that secession was illegal and threatening to launch TNT cannons near Albany’s territories. However, Borneo was not alone. It quickly secured an alliance with Papua, led by FreedomBruh. The two factions signed a mutual defense pact, agreeing to back each other up in battle.
Meanwhile, DEI had been quietly rebuilding. Initially weakened by Cape Cod’s departure, DEI had suffered an economic downturn, with fewer players farming and trading. However, MrGabie quickly adapted by recruiting new members, expanding DEI’s farms, and mining vast amounts of resources. Within weeks, DEI had regained its strength and influence.
Seeing Indochina’s aggression, MrGabie decided to act. DEI formally declared war on Indochina, joining forces with Borneo, Sulawesi, and Papua. DEI’s involvement tilted the balance of power in favor of the anti-Indochinese alliance.
As war loomed, each faction scrambled to fortify its bases and gather resources. Indochina reinforced its walls, built secret underground tunnels, and stationed guards at key locations. Conman and his officers stockpiled potions, golden apples, and enchanted bows in preparation for battle.
Borneo worked quickly to organize its defenses. LogolWaffle ordered the construction of bunkers, hidden chest rooms, and emergency escape tunnels. The nation also may have set up supply routes with Sulawesi or Papua to ensure a steady flow of weapons and food.
UPDATE: Will AdrianHES, the new leader of Borneo, maintain the work that LogolWaffle did?
Sulawesi, known for its expert builders, designed an elaborate network of traps, piston doors, and automated farms to sustain its war efforts. TroyBru73146 also may have held secret meetings with neutral factions, trying to persuade them to join the fight against Indochina.
DEI, having the most powerful navy on the Indonesian archipelago, deployed some war-boats along Indochina’s coast, blocking routes and preventing reinforcements from arriving. MrGabie ordered the construction of new TNT cannons to prepare for an all-out siege against Indochina’s fortresses.
The battle wasn’t just about swords and bows—it was also about words. Indochina launched a propaganda campaign, claiming that Borneo’s independence movement was fueled by griefers and rogue players. Conman sent messages in chat, arguing that he was merely protecting the server’s balance and stability.
Meanwhile, Borneo and its allies countered with their own narrative, calling Indochina a dictatorship that unfairly controlled trade and player movement.
DEI used its diplomatic connections to sway public opinion. MrGabie encouraged neutral players to boycott Indochina’s markets, further weakening its economy.
The entire EarthMC server now watched as tensions rose. Some neutral players debated whether to get involved, with some considering offering mercenary services or selling supplies to either side. Spies and informants may have lurked in faction bases, trying to gather intel on enemy strategies. Some people could’ve speculated on the possible outcomes. Would Indochina attempt a fast raid, hoping to eliminate Borneo before it could fully fortify? Or would they play defensively, relying on their stronghold-like bases to hold off attacks? Likewise, would DEI and its allies launch a coordinated assault, or would they wait for Indochina to strike first?
For now, the swords remained sheathed, but battle was inevitable. The Indonesian archipelago had turned into a giant chessboard, with each faction carefully maneuvering its pieces into position. Players enchanted their gear, stocked their ender chests, and set their respawn points. Traps were armed, walls reinforced, and war cries echoed in Discord chats.
The great EMC war is about to begin.
What happens next remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: EMC is on the brink of a massive conflict that will determine the future of the Indonesian archipelago.
Stay tuned for updates as the battle unfolds!
